About Team Action
Romania
The “Team Action International“
Mission School has been established in Norway in 1986 having the
purpose of preparing the young generation for world’s evangelism.
During those 17 years The “Team Action International“ Mission
School has sent over 200 young people to work abroad in countries
such as: Norway (northern Norway), Russia, Germany, Austria,
Liechtenstein, Spain, Albania, Romania, Kenya, Switzerland,
Zambia, Mozambique, South Africa, Bolivia, Chile, Nicaragua,
Mexico, Honduras, Japan, Philippines, Thailand, Pakistan.
Today, a lot of those young people are working as missionaries,
evangelists and preachers.
Besides the great joy they had by leading others to Christ, those
young people upheld the work within the local churches, did help
the work of the missionaries who had already been established in
those countries, doing even the physical work by helping in
building churches, medical centres and houses. Since then, “Team
Action International“ has opened branches in all Scandinavia,
having the desire that their vision be shared and then forwarded
to as many Christians as possible who are willing to take the
Gospel unto the end of the world.
Through the exhortation and guidance of the Holy Ghost, a group of
Christians decided that God’s blessings should be poured even upon
Romania. Likewise, the branch bearing the name “Team Action
Romania“ has been established having its headquarters in the city
of Arad, Romania.

Vice President - Pastor - RIVIS-TIPEI PAVEL
Secretary - IANOVICI FLORIN
The purpose of this
school is:
- to glorify God;
- to preserve and spread the Holy Scriptures;
- to educate and cause the spiritual growth of the believers;
- to preach the Gospel to the unsaved;
- to alleviate the wounds and social sufferings of the people;
- to manifest the faith through the way of living and works;
- to promote the social values.
During a period of five years, the “Team Action Romania“ has
trained and sent mission teams in various places. Namely, in
countries such as: India, Albania, Turkey, Kosovo, (Yugoslavia)
and in barren both spiritual and economical places in Romania such
as: Babadag, Medgidia, (in Eastern Romania), the region of Oltenia
and Argeş (in Southern Romania), etc.
These teams are being formed of young Christians who graduated the
“Team Action Romania“ Mission School, belonging to various
denominations, but having something in common… the passion of
knowing God and to let Him be known!
Local
churches mobilization for the mission work
Seeing the statistics of the population number, pertaining to
three different counties of Romania, we may realize how important
it is that the local churches be involved in mission, thus
fulfilling the great command of the Saviour:
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost!“
(Matthew 28:19).
The County of Arad, Romania:
- It has a population of 461,744 inhabitants; there are
390 Evangelical Churches; there are 63 villages without any
Evangelical Church; in those villages live over 21,000 souls who
need to hear the Gospel of the Lord.
The County of Botoşani, Romania:
- It has a population of 380,200 inhabitants; there are
164 Evangelical Churches; there are 224 villages without any
Evangelical Church; in those villages live over 130,000 souls who
need to hear the Gospel.
The County of Constanţa, Romania:
- It has a population of 713,000 inhabitants; there are
42 Evangelical Churches and various “missionary centres“; there
are 134 villages without any Evangelical Church; in those villages
live over 71,000 souls who also need to hear the Gospel.
After seeing these statistics we do realize that in Romania, after
the Revolution of 1989, within a span of time of 16 years there
still are 9 cities and over 10,000 villages where there is no any
Evangelical Church. This means that the Church in Romania does
still have a Lord given task to fulfill, namely to bring the
Gospel to every locality whether it is a city, a town or a
village.
The teams involved in mission are in the county of Tulcea and they
do collaborate with the local Church era the minister is Brother
Ananias. The “Team Action“ team is involved both in evangelism and
in helping the local Church to be involved in the work of mission.
In the locality of Babadag, which is also situated in the county
of Tulcea, the servant of the Lord, Brother Titi Chirilă, conducts
a special work by opening centres of mission, so that, later on,
those centres will develop into distinct local Churches. The “Team
Action“ team is also involved in this action helping in evangelism
and in establishing mission centres.
We do pray for getting an apartment in the South-East area of our
country, in order to have a mission centre there. Then, we may
establish there a mission team so that we may have continuity in
the mission work.
Another family working on the mission field is the Peter family,
Brother Dani and Sister Ioana. They are involved in India in the
region of Bihar on long term basis. Dani and Ioana are dedicated
in this ministry rejoicing of the Lord’s both help and blessing
manifested in several mission centres they managed to establish
there by God’s grace.
In August 2006 we have started our missionary collaboration with
the local Churches in the county of Gorj, Romania. Brother
Aurelian Niţă, who is a graduate both of our mission school and of
the Theological Institute of Arad, is already involved there. God
willing, we do also hope to establish a mission centre in Gorj in
the future.
If you
do think that you are called:
- to go for mission;
- to quit a lot of things and to sometimes accept hardships and
challenges;
- to receive o new vision about a God given mission;
- to understand what God can accomplish by using you to bring the
Gospel to the unsaved;
- to wholeheartedly spread the Gospel and share about salvation to
others;
- to willingly be part of a team made of people dedicated to God,
then you should seriously consider your call and enroll in our
team.
You will
have the possibility:
- of feeling the great joy in leading others to Chris;
- of disciplining your spiritual life;
- of polishing your character;
- to work within a team;
- to learn a new language;
- to accomplish your missionary practice by cooperating both with
local Churches and other missionaries.
